Peloton Bike Review + Before & After 3 Week Results

Today’s video features a review on my Peloton Bike that I’ve own for 3 weeks so far. Since receiving it, I’ve been riding 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes each session. I’ve lost 2 pounds so far, and this is solely using the bike and not changing anything else in my diet/lifestyle. Priced at $1,895 (It had a price drop since video was made) it is by no means a budget exercise equipment option, however I would say the pros outweigh the cons in my opinion. Access to their library of live and encore (pre-recorded) classes runs $39 per month, but if you were to consider the cost of a single spin class at Soul Cycle for example, that would already run you $35 per session.

All classes are filmed in their NYC studio so if you want to join live, consider the time zone difference. So far my favorite instructors are Ally Love (@allymisslove) and Cody Rigsby (@codyrigsby). I love the energy the instructors have and during each class and they tell you what resistance to put your bike at (0-100 scale) as well as what cadence you should be spinning at (speed). The bike also tracks your output and calories burned.

In a nutshell, I love this bike for 1) its convenience, 2) the motivational classes that help keep you focused, 3) its smooth, silent ride that can be done at any time of the day, & 4) its size of 2×4 which I find quite compact.

Delivery of the bike arrived within 1.5 weeks of placement of order and includes a white glove service. The bike arrives pre-assembled aside from the large 21.5″ HD flat screen which they attach upon arrival.

What do you think? Do you find spinning to be a main source of cardio as well? Running used to be my preferred cardio but since switching to spinning, I haven’t looked back. Not to mention that a spin bike takes up less room than a treadmill.
