We needed to add a spin bike to our home gym and this is what we chose after doing some research on various spin bikes including Peloton.
This setup can be used as a good alternative to Peloton.

As for the video service, I work for a US based company and while down in the US I was able to subscribe to it. Thankfully once you have signed up it still works in Canada.
Alternatively, there are some other services that are available in Canada by default, like Echelon Fit
or should you so choose you can still subscribe to the Peloton Digital Service without purchasing the bike.
