How I made my DIY Exercise Bike for under $25!
The cost of exercise equipment has increased dramatically due to it being in such high demand recently, so I decided to try and make my own! This project came to me when my best friend sent me a video of his cats, and I saw his exercise bike in the background. I thought, “hmm… I wonder If I could make something like that…” and got right to work! I used some scrap wood thatI already had, but this could be created with a single 2x6x8 board, some screws, bolts, and some pegs for your bike.
What I forgot to mention in the video:
My bike has 26” Wheels. I had to make the vertical pieces tall enough so the tires would clear the base. To do this I made the piece 17” tall, that way I had some room to make the holes for the pegs a little bigger. This was a super easy project to do, and can easily be done in an afternoon!
The only thing I would like to add to this is a way to add resistance, making it a little bit more of a challenging workout. If you have any suggestions, please let me know in the comments!
